After restarting Windows 10, many programs start automatically. How can I turn them off?

User question

Hello.

I ran into an incomprehensible situation: after restarting the PC, some programs start automatically with me when Windows 10 boots ...

Previously, in Windows 7, this has never happened (I checked the autoload - they are not there). Tell me something?

Hello.

Yes, Windows 10 has some "features" regarding startup (and it's not just you). In the note below I will give you the steps to check and turn off. (good, all this is done quickly!). I think this will be relevant not only for you ... 👇

How to disable autoloading unnecessary software

👉 STEP 1

In modern versions of Windows 10, there is one "feature" - it remembers open programs at the time of shutting down the PC (or restarting it), and then automatically starts them. A kind of autoload.

To disable this "thing" you can do the following:

  1. go to Windows 10 settings (Win + i), go to section "Accounts / Login Options" and disable the function "Use my login details to automatically complete setup ..." ;
  2. well, or simply, before turning off the PC, close all the programs you do not need later ...

Of course, with this we only disabled this feature - then we will need more and additional. go through OS startup (and turn off all unnecessary).

👉 STEP 2

Then open the task manager (keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Alt + Del or Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and go to the section "autoload" ... In it, switch to the "off." all the software you don't need when you start Windows.

Note: it is recommended to disable torrents, various gadgets, etc. (especially if your system uses HDD). All this "goodness" loads the disk very heavily, which makes the PC start longer ...

👉 STEP 3

Windows 10 has another "virtue" (😊) that can run programs when turned on. computer. This is a task scheduler (note: some software, when installed, adds tasks to this scheduler ...).

To open it in any version of Windows 10 - press the combination Win + R (the Run window will appear) and use the commandcontrol schedtasks.

Next, you need to go over the list of tasks and disable those that run the software you don't need. Pay attention to the description - line "Trigger" . 👇

You can also "go over" the list of auto-downloadable software with the help of specials. utilities (you can learn more about this in one of my previous posts, the link to it is below 👇).

Actually, after these three simple steps - nothing more "unnecessary" should not start with Windows 10. 👌
