Google Play Market analogues or what you can use if Play Market does not work

Good day everyone!

Good or bad, but in some cases you have to look for a replacement for the Google Play Market.

For example, it may not contain all applications, or it may simply not work, be inaccessible (which, by the way, is not so rare).

Actually, I myself thought about analogs precisely because of the inoperability of the market on the smartphone (during the blocking of the telegram in Russia). It turns out that there are quite a few interesting alternatives with thousands of applications presented! .. 😉

I think at least a few services should be bookmarked so that in case of problems with the market, you could download some of the most necessary programs. Still, it is much safer to download applications from major official services than from unfamiliar sites ...

The introduction can be completed at this point, let's get down to business ... 👌

👉 Addition!

Perhaps an article with the reasons why the Google Play Market may not work may be useful to you.

Google Play Market analogues

Galaxy Store (for Samsung owners)

Developer site: //www.samsung.com/

Galaxy Store - Multiple Screenshots

If you have a Samsung phone (and there are quite a few of them in Russia) - pay attention to the pre-installed Galaxy Store application. This is not a very bad replacement for Google Play (yes, it has fewer applications, but it has everything the most popular: themes, games, social networks, etc.).

In addition, the Galaxy Store puts less stress on the system (constant updates), which has a positive effect on battery power (and CPU load).

By the way, if you have a Samsung account, then if you lose your phone, you can use the search function (approximately, 👉 as I described here).

Note: by the way, at the beginning of 2020. there were news about the possible release of their stores from Lenovo, Huawei, and other manufacturers.

Amazon AppStore

Website: //www.amazon.com/

Amazon AppStore - main window screen

A very interesting analogue. In general, Amazon.com (one of the largest department stores in the United States) made a service for distributing its applications, but over time, its popularity has grown significantly. To date, more than 300,000 applications have been collected here.

The company's policy is very "soft", and it allows all developers to publish their applications (of course, after they have been tested).

An interesting thing: every day one of the applications in this store is distributed free of charge, to anyone. It is worth noting that even very expensive applications can be given away.

Disadvantage: a "problem" with the Russian language (many applications here simply do not support it).

*

APKPure

Website: //apkpure.com/ru/

APKPure - home page

This store differs from the Play Market in that here you can download the application in an APK file. This, in turn, allows you to easily and quickly transfer the installation file to other users (for example, those who do not have access to this store).

The service offers many of the most popular games and programs. One of the mottos of the service: there are no software barriers, there are no barriers to the distribution of APK files.

All in all, a very interesting alternative. In addition, everything here is in Russian, which is also very captivating. Recommend!

F-Droid

Website: //f-droid.org/en/packages/

F-Droid - the main page of the service

F-Droid contains only freeware (by the way, every application here is licensed under Apache or GNU, which also increases the credibility of the service). F-Droid is supported and exists only on developer enthusiasm and user donations.

I would also note that the service is very simple and in some places even looks "old-fashioned". But if you look at it from one side, and on the other, it is made in the style of minimalism, where there is nothing superfluous (and now it is in trend!).

In addition, it contains a good collection of free games and programs (licensed!). Therefore, F-Droid deserves a very good rating (in my opinion), and I can safely recommend it to your acquaintance!

Disadvantages: F-Droid is not translated into Russian.

*

SlideME

Website: //slideme.org/applications

SlideME - the main page of the site

This app store, by the way, is older than Google Play. In addition, there are some of the strictest selection rules here: 2 out of 3 applications are rejected by the service (in order to "break through" here, application developers have to work hard in the literal sense of the word!).

Note that in SlideME you will not find programs with an abundance of advertising, with an unjustified range of powers, with various suspicious activity. In general, if you are worried about the safety of your device, then this service is for you.

Among the shortcomings: there is no Russian language here (nevertheless, those with Russian are available among the list of applications).

*

Aptoide

Developers site: //ru.aptoide.com/

Aptoide - home page screenshot

Large alternative Android app store. The service already has 300 million users around the world!

Aptoide provides the ability to search for games and applications without any restrictions (for example, while in Russia - you can download an application localized to work in England ...).

Note that Aptoide carefully checks applications in its store for malicious code. Downloading applications as APK files!

By the way, at the moment the service has about 1 million applications! There is where to roam ... 😉

*

ApkMirror

Website: //www.apkmirror.com/

ApkMirror - the main page of the service

ApkMirror is a good store where you can find many outdated applications (in other stores, as a rule, you are given the opportunity to download only one version, the newest - there are dozens of versions to choose from ...).

Note that applications from the site are downloaded as APK files. Despite the fact that all applications on the site are anti-virus scanned, do not forget to check them yourself.

Note: the service is available only through a regular browser (there is no special application for Android). This, by the way, has a slight inconvenience: if you need to update any application, you will have to do it manually ...

*

Mobile9

Website: //www.mobile9.com/

Mobile9 - home page

This service differs from the others in that it contains not only tens of thousands of applications, but also melodies, themes, wallpapers and other files for your phone. You can change your device beyond recognition!

By the way, there is a very large community here: several million people. Registered users can exchange messages with each other, comment on applications, rate them, etc. A kind of mini-social. net.

I note that all the published applications are free (at least for the initial acquaintance). The service can be recommended to anyone interested in entertainment content.

Note: Mobile9 supports Russian language.

*

Mi Store (for Xiaomi owners)

Website: //mobile.mi.com/ru/

Mi Store - a screenshot of the application

Modern smartphones from Xiaomi have their own application store - Mi Store (a kind of analogue of the Play Market)!

With the Mi Store, you can download hundreds of different games and applications. Note that the store conveniently sorts all "this stuff" depending on their popularity, rating (user ratings) and release date.

What is frustrating: there are a lot of applications for the Chinese audience (not all software has Russian translation). However, when the Play Market does not work, the Mi Store will definitely allow you to find and download all the most necessary and popular (which means it will perform its function ✌).

*

Yandex Store

Website: //store.yandex.ru/

Important: from September 1, 2020. Yandex announced the closure of the store (applications you previously downloaded will continue to work). Let's hope that after some kind of "rebranding" the service will revive in a new form ...

Yandex Store - the main page of the service

A good alternative for the Google Play Market. The service is completely in Russian, contains more than 100,000 applications for Android. Mostly, games and programs from Russian developers are presented.

To purchase software, you can use:

  • mobile phone balance;
  • Yandex money;
  • bank cards;
  • bonuses (Yandex Store gives you 10% for every purchase).

I would also note that the service takes security very seriously. All applications are thoroughly tested. In general, the service deserves a fairly high rating, I recommend it!

*

1MOBILE

Website: //www.1mobile.com/

Note (from 11/15/18): removed the active link, because the site has been down for the last few days ...

1 MOBILE is one of the best free app marketplaces

This market differs primarily in that only free applications are accepted here (i.e. you can download any applications from here for free and officially). By the way, applications are downloaded as regular APK files (which is also very convenient in some cases!).

I would also note that the service positions itself more as entertainment (therefore, it contains a large number of games, interesting and funny applications, jokes).

By the way, there is a recommendation module here that is based on your interests and advises you on similar applications that should interest you.

The number of applications has already exceeded 1,000,000! So you will always have something to do!

If you know any other interesting app stores, then add-ons will be very useful!

Happy work!
