How to download Windows 10 in Russian (official ISO image)

Good day!

After all, the Windows developers (finally) did one very right thing: now the official image with Windows 10 can be downloaded from their website!

There is no longer any need to look for it somewhere, use various "obscure" assemblies from folk craftsmen (some of which may come with "built-in" additions), and other wisdom ... 😉

Perhaps the only drawback is that its loading is somewhat "confusing" and not so obvious (you need to work through the "Media Creation Tool" ...).

In my opinion, it would be much easier if they provided open links to the necessary images (I just chose from the list and downloaded).

Enough lyrics ... Below I will consider a couple of ways how you can easily download the version of Windows 10 you need.

Ways to download ISO image from Windows 10 [official]

Method 1: using special. funds

Microsoft official website: //www.microsoft.com/ru-ru/software-download/windows10ISO

After clicking on the link above (to the OS download page), find the button "Download the tool now" (it may be slightly lower due to various promotional offers, see screenshot).

Clicking on this link should start downloading the Media Creation Tool.

Then run it (file "MediaCreationTool.exe").

Then, usually, preparation begins (up to 1-2 minutes), just wait for the completion of this operation.

After that, a license agreement will be presented, for further work - you need to accept it.

In the next step, select the option "Create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO)" ... See example below. 👇

Next, you need to select the language, edition (edition) of Windows and bitness (note: difference between 32 or 64 bit).

Then indicate what you want to download "ISO file" (the second option is on the screenshot below 👇).

Then you can select the drive and folder where you want to download the ISO file from Windows 10.

Well, and the last step: wait for the download (the image weighs about ~ 4 GB). If you have high-speed Internet, the download time will be about 5 ÷ 10 minutes.

In general, after that you can start creating the installation media (including using other tools).

Method 2: download the ISO image from the Microsoft website (in Russian)

This method is useful for those for whom the Media Creation Tool does not work (for example, it does not start for you, or does not download an image, or you are not working in Windows).

The essence of the method: if you go to the official page of the Microsoft website (where you can download the Media Creation Tool, link above) with a system other than Windows (for example, working in Linux, or from some gadget), then you can download the ISO directly, without Media Creation Tool.

If you if you want to do this, working under Windows: then open the page, for example, in a browser Chrome.

Then press the key F12 (the developer's console should open), and click on the mobile device icon (the browser will start emulating a mobile gadget).

After updating the page (F5 key) - you will see that there is an opportunity to select the Windows edition and language (both English and Russian versions are available).

After confirming the language, you will be able to choose the bitness: 32 or 64. By clicking on one of the options, the download will start.

It remains only to wait for the download to finish. Pay attention, by the way, to working torrents, other downloads, etc. - all this can significantly affect the download time of the ISO image.

After the ISO image with the system has been downloaded, you can burn it to a USB flash drive or DVD using various utilities (it is not necessary to use the Media Creation Tool).

Method 3: lightweight optimized Windows 10 LTSC version (free for 90 days)

This method is suitable for those who are "tired" of the standard edition of Windows (with its gluttonous Store, Edge, Cortana, etc.) and would like something more easy and fast.

Fortunately, there is a corporate version of Windows 10 LTSC (free for 90 days). It has several significant differences from other editions of Windows 10:

it has very rare updates (only those related to the security and reliability of the system);
all "semi-necessary" software was cut from the system: Store, OneDrive, Cortana, etc .;
low system requirements: 1 GB of RAM and 10 GB of hard disk space.
