Yesterday I was walking along a long corridor and I heard swearing in one of the offices (since this office is not so far from my "refuge" - you like it or not, but you will be aware of some events ...).
In general, the essence is approximately the following: it was necessary to go to VK (some urgent business, probably ... 
), but the manager was unable to do this. A sign stubbornly popped up on the screen with a request to double-check and re-enter the password. I had to help them by getting the password in a rather "tricky" way (but this is a topic for a separate article ...) ...
In general, having tinkered with this problem, I decided to sketch my note with the basics of working with VK (including how not to enter a password every time you enter your page). Many people have real problems with this (and most importantly, it is not clear to an inexperienced user why the browser constantly asks to enter it ...).

How to log into VK (Vkontakte)
In general, go to social. Vkontakte network is possible from almost any device that has the Internet and a browser (or a special application). As a rule, any modern computer / phone / tablet and other devices meet these requirements.
From the computer
- Launch the browser and go to the address //vk.com/ (or //vkontakte.ru);

- then you will be taken either to your page, or to the main page of the social site. networks. In the second case, you will need to enter your phone number (or e-mail) and password ... See the screenshot below.

Be careful, now there are thousands of fake sites on the network (many get to them, for example, when they enter VK from a search, or when a PC is infected with viruses). Please note the following:
- the address in the browser must include: //vk.com/ ;
- a padlock should be "lit" opposite the address (see examples below), signaling that you are using an encrypted secure HTTPS connection.
- social the network will not ask you to send SMS to short numbers.

- open a browser on your phone and go to: //m.vk.com/
- then also indicate your phone number or e-mail address and password. If the data is entered correctly, your page will open (similar to how it happens on a computer).

However, on the phone, in my opinion, it is much more convenient to use specials for this. attachment. It will allow, for example, to make calls, listen to audio files (in a more convenient version), watch videos, various broadcasts, immediately receive notifications for all events, etc.

Actually, the second method is associated with installing an application from social media on the phone. VK network (also called). Links to officers. websites with applications for iOS and Android are given below.

Application features:
- the ability to make calls (as through the same Viber, for example);
- the presence of a messenger that allows you not only to exchange messages, but also create chats and communicate with several friends at the same time;
- the ability to send photos and videos;
- live video output (for various streams ...);
- listening to music watching video;
- the ability to watch live broadcasts;
- reading blogs and news (and not only Russian ones), and much more.
In general, the application, of course, makes sense (especially if you use this social network every day).
How to enter VK without entering a password each time
All modern browsers are "sufficiently" smart and capable of remembering all passwords and logins that you enter on sites (and then, when you visit this site again, substitute them for you). But many do not take advantage of this opportunity ...
Please note that when you first enter the site (in the same VK social network) - immediately after you enter your phone number and password, and click "Entrance" , a window will appear prompting you to save the password for accessing the site (see an example of such a window below). When saving the password in the browser: next time you do not have to enter it manually, the browser will do it for you.

By the way, so that the browser automatically opens your page at startup, you can create a shortcut on your desktop (with a link). By clicking on it, you will automatically launch your browser and go to the page in social. networks. Conveniently?!
To do this, right-click anywhere on the desktop and select "New / Shortcut" (see example below).

As a result, the most common shortcut will appear on the desktop, by clicking on which, your browser will start and your page in VK will immediately open.

Tips (so that the browser does not "forget" the password and "my" page opens immediately automatically):
- do not reinstall your browser or Windows OS after every sneeze (note: many users, when the first error appears, demolish the system and install a new one. Then they waste a lot of time setting up, including remembering the password ...) ;
- do not clear the browser cache every day (when you clear it, you have to re-enter the data to access the sites);
- use the browser function "save password" (then it will automatically substitute a password every time you visit this site). Better yet, create a profile and log into it (see the screen below, it is shown how it looks in Chrome).

Thus, even if you reinstall the system, but then install the browser and enter your profile: all settings and passwords will be downloaded from the network and your browser will look the same as before!
What to do if you forgot your password (is it possible to log in without it at all)

And so, after you go to the main page of VK, click on the link "Forgot your password" .

If the surname and phone number are entered correctly, Vkontakte will find your profile and present it to you for confirmation. If this is it, click on the link "Yes, this is the right page" ... See screenshot below.

If there is no access to the phone
This is already worse, tk. we will depend on the decision of the moderator. But nevertheless, you can restore your account if it was registered to your data.
And so, first we also go to the main VK page, and click on the link "Forgot your password" .

Further, instead of entering the phone number, you must follow the link "Click here" shown at the bottom of the window (see example below).

Next, provide a link to your VK page (for this, usually, you need to know its ID, for example, //vk.com/id123 ). If you do not know the link to your profile, just find your page through the search (see screenshots below).

After that, you will need to make several non-standard "body movements" (you cannot give specific instructions for this part, because VK is constantly "improving"):
- upload a copy (for example, scan, photo) of an identity document;
- take your photo against its background;
- briefly describe the situation why you do not have access to the phone and the page (for example, changing the number and PC
) ; - indicate your new phone number (the main thing is that it is working, because login data will be sent to it);
- apply for restoration.
Next, the moderator will check your application, and if everything is in order with it (all the data on the page and in your documents match), you will receive login information on the new phone number. The processing time of the application can be very different, according to reviews: from several hours to several days ...
What to do if you can't enter the "MY" page
This is one of the most popular questions. However, it is very multifaceted and there are a lot of variations of the problems. Below I will try to somehow "break" and catalog them and provide links to the solution.
Option 1
You can't get to the site at all: instead of the usual interface, you see a message that "the site on the territory of such and such a country is not available ..." (or in general, an error appears that the server is unavailable). What can be done about this, I discussed a little later in this article (see the next subheading).
By the way! As far as I know, for example, in Ukraine, access to social services was blocked. networks Vkontakte, Odnoklassniki and a number of other Russian sites.
Option # 2
If the VK site informs you that "I cannot log in" (as in the example below), then try resetting the password (I described how to do this a little higher in the article).
Moreover, you can reset the password (i.e. change it to a new one) even if you do not have access to the old phone number (to which the profile was registered).

Pay attention also to your keyboard layout, the Caps Lock key (it is often when the password does not work due to incorrect case ...).
Option # 3
When you try to enter your page, the site asks you to confirm your identity (for example, using an SMS to a short number). And in general, everything looks somehow strange: advertising (which was not there before), the design is somewhat different, etc.
Most likely you just ended up on a fake site (there are a lot of them on the net now). Their main purpose: either to find out your data to access the page; or withdraw a certain amount of funds from your phone.
First, pay attention to the site address: is it accurate //vk.com/ ... Second, see if there is a "padlock" next to the URL - which signals a secure connection.

In general, you can get to a wrong site due to two main reasons:
- inadvertently (for example, many people type in Google a query like "Vkontakte enter" and go from the search results to it is unknown to which site ...);
- picking up a virus (some types of viruses can "open" you completely different sites that you request in your browser).

What to do if social VK network is not available at all
By this I mean that when you go to the official website address ( //vk.com/ ) nothing loads at all: i.e. even the social interface is invisible. networks. You can also see an error that the server was not found (or is not available).

This happens most often due to:
- blocking a resource on the territory of your country (for example, the VK social network was blocked in Ukraine);

- the problem is with your provider (check if technical work is underway, for example);
- the problem is on the side of the VK network itself (this happens quite rarely and I would consider this reason as the last one).
As for the first option, one of the easiest ways to solve the problem is to use the special. functions of the browser, or install additional. expansion.
Here are a couple of examples.
1) Yandex browser
If you have a Yandex browser, then by turning on the "Turbo" mode, you can not only load some pages faster, but also go to most of the sites inaccessible for your country.

5) Change DNS servers
