In general, the issue of connecting to a work (home) computer via the Internet has become quite popular today (probably the whole point is in the epidemic, and many employees are switching to remote work ...).

Actually, that's why I decided to sketch this little note with some of the most convenient tools for solving this issue.

Of course, I cannot give all the "subtleties" for setting up such software here - but many do not need it ... The solution of typical problems for most - in the software below is extremely simple (not what it was 10-15 years ago). 👌

Note: in general, you need to install the application on both computers at once (and on the one to which you will connect; and on the one from which you will connect). An excellent program for connecting to a remote PC via the Internet and a local network. AnyDesk is completely in Russian, with tips and without complex console configuration windows ...

One of its main advantages (in my opinion) is high image quality even with low-speed access. This is achieved through specials. algorithm: the picture from the remote desktop is not transmitted in its entirety, but only its changing parts (thus, the requirements for the Internet are lower than those of many analogues).

Pros:

good "picture" even with a slow Internet;
easy to set up and use (even beginners can figure it out);
the ability to configure uncontrolled access;
abundance of tips and guides for officers. site.

Minuses:

the free version has a limit on the number of connections (1);
the cost of a fully functional version of the program is quite substantial.

TeamViewer

One of the most popular programs for connecting and configuring other PCs over the Internet.

Moreover, TeamViewer allows you to bypass the firewall, NAT routing, etc. (you don't even need to forward any ports ...). All this means that to work - you only need to download and run the application (no long and painful settings)!

TeamViewer allows you to transfer files, hold conferences, administer servers, provide computer assistance, etc.

Pros:

easy setup and use: after launching the program on your PC, you will have your own ID (it's like a phone number - you can use it to connect ...);
the ability to access from a smartphone;
there is an option to configure uncontrolled access (this is when you can connect to a remote PC without the help of its user);
data encryption during operation (this ensures complete confidentiality * of transmitted data).

Cons: high price for the full version of the program. In some cases, unstable connection with latency (AnyDesk obviously loses).

Getscreen.me

Free version limitations: connection no more than 15 minutes. (and no more than 2 in one session).

GetScreen.me - what the application looks like

This little program is perfect for all novice users! In order to provide another user with access to your PC, you will need the following:

download a small application from the GetScreen.me website (for Windows) and run it;
copy a link from it and transfer it to another user (👆);
he will only have to paste it into the address bar of the browser and press Enter (full compatibility is guaranteed in Chrome). Note that you can work with a remote PC both from your phone and from another computer!

This is special. plugin for the Chrome browser. Allows you to very quickly set up remote access. There are no restrictions as such: you can connect to any number of PCs (but only for 1 Google account).

Perhaps the only drawback: there is a slight delay in the transfer of the desktop (not critical, and does not interfere with most types of work).

How to use:

launch Chrome and use the above (👆) link to install the plugin (this must be done on all PCs: both on the one to which you will connect, and on the one from which ...);
on one PC, open the plugin settings and generate the code;
on the second, enter this code and connect to the remote desktop (see screenshot below). In general, everything is quite simple. 😉

Ammyy Admin

Not a bad tool (in the style of minimalism) for remote control of a computer. Moreover, the application does not require installation, configuration of a firewall, router, etc. (everything works out of the box!).

After the first launch of SupRemo, you will receive a unique ID and password. By transferring them to another user, he will be able to connect to your PC and help set it up. Note that the program allows you to create an address book and add dozens of other users there (so that you don't have to find out their passwords every time - it's convenient!).
