How to connect wireless headphones (via Bluetooth)

Thanks to wireless mice, keyboards, headphones, printers, and other devices, there is less confusion, people also start to touch and drop gadgets less, and in general there is noticeably more space on the desktop! 😉

Actually, in this note I will touch directly on wireless headphones, their connection to a computer and phone (setup and typical problems).

Connecting wireless headphones

To phone (Android)

1) So, the first thing to do is to connect the headphones via the USB cable (included) to the computer (laptop / power supply) for recharging. Most often, new headphones are discharged to zero.

By the way, please note that when you connect the headphones, the LED on their case should light up (usually blue or green).

2) Almost all wireless headphones have special ones. button to turn them on / off. Set the headphones to operating mode - "ON" mode (green / red LED should light up).

Note: some headphones additionally need to be put into "pairing" mode - to do this, hold for 3-5 seconds. call answer button (or power button).

3) Now open the phone settings (note: I am considering a device on Android) and go to the section "Device / Bluetooth connection" (see example below). If you have Bluetooth turned off (as in my example), then first turn it on and wait for the phone to update the list of devices within its range (5-15 seconds).

4) Next, the model of your headphones should appear among the available devices for connection - just click on them and agree to pairing.

5) In general, that's all - the sound should start going to the headphones!

Note: in rare cases, the phone will ask you to enter a password (Pin). Usually, this code can be found on the packaging with the headphones, or you can use the standard one: 0000, 1234, 9999, 0001, 1111. In some cases, you can simply click on "Next" and the headphones will still be connected ...

To computer / laptop (Windows)

1) We charge the headphones (similar to the previous instructions). Then we turn them on and put them into pairing mode (note: for many models, after turning them on, pairing mode starts automatically).

2) In the tray (next to the clock) we find the Bluetooth icon, right-click on it and select the function "Adding a Bluetooth device" .

If you have Windows 10, then you can add a device in another way. To do this, open the Windows settings (the combination of the Win + i buttons), go to the section "Devices / Bluetooth and Other Devices" , and enable the operation of this protocol (example below).

3) You should see a window asking you to specify the type of device: select the type where it appears "Bluetooth: mice, keyboards, pens, etc." .

4) Then, among the found devices, select your headphones and wait until the end of pairing.

5) If everything went well, Windows will inform you that the device is ready to use.

Note: if Windows asks you to enter a password, look for it on the box with the headphones (the standard ones may be suitable: 0000, 1234, 9999, 0001, 1111).

Possible connection problems

1) If the headphones do not respond to any buttons ...

Most often, this problem occurs with new headphones. This is due to the fact that they have been lying on the fold for a long time, and the batteries are discharged without work over time to zero. It is enough to put them on charge and wait an hour or two ...

However, we cannot exclude those. malfunction (especially if it started after the fall).

2) No Bluetooth icon in the tray

First, open the device manager and see if you have installed drivers for the Bluetooth adapter (see the "Bluetooth" tab). If in this tab you do not have any devices (or there are devices opposite which the exclamation mark is lit), then you have not installed the drivers.

If you have Windows 10 - open its parameters (the combination of Win + i buttons), and look at the "Devices" section - is "Bluetooth" enabled there ?!

Then I recommend opening the tab all network connections Windows - to do this, click Win + R , and in the window that appears, enter the command ncpa.cpl (as shown in the screenshot below).

3) If the sound is played through the PC / laptop speakers and is not output to the headphones

Quite a popular problem. Root Cause: Windows incorrectly detects the default audio playback device.

To fix this: you must first open the control panel and go to the tab "Hardware and Sound / Sound" .
