How to pay in an online store without showing your bank card details

Good day!

According to statistics, over the past few years, cases of theft of funds from bank cards have become more frequent. This happens mainly due to the carelessness and credulity of their owners (many people themselves can communicate all the card details by phone ... (which, of course, is absolutely impossible to do!)).

However, in some cases, online stores are also to blame, in which millions of users pay with their main bank card. The fact is that some small stores simply do not have the proper degree of protection and security, which means that your data can get to intruders (which in turn can lead to loss of funds).

To prevent this from happening, it is much safer not to use the details of your main bank card at all in every online store (after all, you can pay in other, safer ways!). As they say:"Trust in God, but don't do it yourself ...".

By the way!

If you want to transfer a relatively small amount of funds to someone, then this can now be done by e-mail (mailbox) - //ocomp.info/kak-perevesti-money-po-e-mail.html

Several ways

1) Virtual card (Internet bank)

One of the easiest options for most users (I assume) would be to create a virtual map using internet bank (note: if you have a plastic card of a bank, then you almost certainly have access to Internet Banking).

This is done quite simply: you need to go to the card registration section, then select a virtual prepaid card. After replenishing it, the bank will send you a number, date, and CVC code - i.e. the very details that are needed for payment in online stores (an example of how this can be done in Russian Standard Bank is presented below).

Prepaid card (Russian Standard Bank)

There is something similar in Sberbank - it is called a digital card (I myself rarely use it lately).

Sberbank Online

Of course, such a virtual card needs to be replenished only before buying from an online store (and for an amount equal to the purchase price). If you follow such a simple logic, the details of your real card will not be "lit up" anywhere on the Internet (which means that the security of the funds on it will be higher).

2) Yandex money, QIWI

If you have an account with an Internet payment system, it will become much faster and safer to pay online (since you do not have to enter your bank card details anywhere). Well, there shouldn't be any difficulties with paying for the purchase - almost all online stores, even not large ones, accept Yandex money or Qiwi.

If you have never come across such payment systems, then the payment process takes place in them very easily and quickly. When buying, just select payment from Yandex-money, for example (see the screen below).

Choosing a means of payment in the online store

Next, a window will open in which you specify how you want to pay for the purchase (from your account or from a linked bank card) and confirm the payment. Fast? I think yes.

Note!

The same Yandex money gives bonuses for each purchase, which allow you to get discounts on the next purchases (see the screenshot below - about ~ 50% discount!). In addition, the service provides a guarantee from an outspoken "scammer": if the online store does not deliver the ordered goods to you, you can dispute the purchase and return the money.

Note!

You can replenish your Yandex-money (or Qiwi) account using a bank card without commissions (for example, it is convenient to do this for the amount of the intended purchase).

3) PayPal

This is one of the most widespread payment systems on the Internet (it is especially popular in the West, it came to our country relatively recently ...). I am her special. noted in a separate subsection, tk. this payment system has a number of advantages:

  1. allows you to pay for goods both in Russian-speaking online stores and in many English-speaking countries;
  2. when paying for goods, you do not enter the card details anywhere (maximum only e-mail), which increases security;
  3. PayPal gives a guarantee of 1.5 months: if the goods are not delivered to you, you can return your funds back (in my opinion, there is no such guarantee in any bank);
  4. funds can be transferred from user to user by e-mail address, without commissions, and almost instantly;
  5. some shops make a discount of 1 ÷ 5% when paying with PayPal (for example, this has been repeatedly done in Ozone).

Concerning payment process: then it is as simple as that of Qiwi (Yandex-money). When choosing payment methods in the online store, select PayPal, then in the new window that opens, agree to the operation being carried out (that's it!). PayPal will act as a "sort of" intermediary between your bank card and the online store (see the screenshot below).
