Not a single person (even one who is very well versed in the intricacies of spelling) is immune from typos, mistakes due to carelessness, etc. Sometimes even two-time proofreading does not allow you to correct the remaining inaccuracies ...
Moreover, sometimes mistakes do not just "hurt" the eye, but interfere with understanding the meaning of what has been said. Not understanding one word (or omitting one comma), you can catch a completely different meaning from the text, which you would highly dislike (I think so 👌).
In my opinion, the problem is partially solved by specials. office programs, for example, the same MS Word.
In this article, I would like to consider several programs and online services that will help check the spelling of your text, and point out the main mistakes (according to rough estimates, about 80% -95% of all errors in the text can be corrected!).

Using office programs
In MS Word
There is no doubt that MS Word is one of the most popular programs for editing and writing a wide variety of texts: from ordinary notes to large treatises in whole novels and books ...
Most users have this program installed on computers / laptops, so I suggest starting with it.
I must tell you that MS Word has one of the best dictionaries for spell check and grammar (of course, we are talking about new versions of the program. Relatively old ones before 2010 - I do not take into account).
Thanks to this dictionary, it is possible to bring the text to a very high degree of literacy.
👉 We will assume that you have the text (either you typed it yourself in Word, or copied it there (use the combination of buttons Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V - copy and paste)).
Further go to the section "Review" , and click on the button "Spelling" (see arrows 1 and 2 in the screenshot below 👇). You can also use the key F7.

By the wayThere is another interesting and useful tool in Word - readability check ! This tool allows you to find hard-to-read sections of text, long links, not entirely correct headings, etc. In general, I recommend using it!

- whether to check the text in the process of typing it;
- whether to take into account complex words;
- whether to mark repeated words;
- whether to check grammar when checking spelling and much more (a screen with all the parameters is shown below).

Verification in MS Word is, of course, well implemented. But what if you can't buy and install Word (the program is still paid and costs quite a lot)?
In this case, the free analogue of OpenOffice will help. The program is multifunctional enough, and for an ordinary user (who does not use a lot of chips and "subtleties" of MS Word), it can easily replace it! 👌
👉 Regarding spell checking - then there are two convenient options in OpenOffice. First, the default is on auto spell check (see the icon under the number 1 in the screenshot below - 
) .
With such a check, all typed text (or inserted text) will be checked, and suspicious words that are probably misspelled (or they are not yet in your dictionary) will be underlined.See example below.

Note: by the way, the program is self-learning - when you add a word to the dictionary, it will no longer underline it and consider it a mistake.
Concerning the second option is manual check, click the appropriate button 
(number 1 on the screenshot below), or the key F7.
Next, a window will appear in front of you, in which the found errors will be shown one by one: your business is either to skip them (if there are no errors), or to correct them in your own way or using the program prompts. In general, routine work ...

LibreOffice checks text for spelling in the same way as OpenOffice. If you go to the menu "Service" - You will find there two options for checks:
- automatic - it is active by default, thanks to its check, when typing - errors are immediately highlighted and underlined);
- manual - it can also be launched by the key F7.
👉 Check example grammar and spelling is presented in the screenshot below: almost identical to the previous office suite.
When checking, you are required to perform one of three actions: skip the error, correct it (you can also use the hints), or add it to the dictionary so that the program does not consider this spelling of the word an error in the future.

👉 Of the shortcomings of the check: after all, the LibreOffice dictionary is inferior in quality to the same Word, especially when it comes to commas. The program "does not see" some of the missing commas, unfortunately ...

Using browser dictionaries
Most modern browsers are equipped with spell checking modules.
By the way, this is very convenient when typing various text on the Internet: you will not really check all posts on the forum, comments, etc. correspondence with people to a single one ?! And an easy check in the browser itself allows you not to seem so uneducated ... 😎
Usually, a similar spelling module is enabled in browsers (by default). I will consider the issue more specifically and in detail using the example of the popular Google Chrome browser.

To configure the grammar checker settings in Chrome, you need to:
- first go to the program settings (click the icon with three dots
and open "Settings" ); - then you need to click the link at the bottom of the page "Show advanced settings" ;
- then find the subsection "Languages" and enable advanced spell checker;

- Actually, now in Chrome, when typing, words with errors will be highlighted. Agree, it's convenient ?! 👌
- By the waywhen you notice a mistake or an underlined word, right-click on it and the browser will suggest the correct spelling of the word. It is worth noting that the browser will now not only find errors, but also often suggest word variants that can be used to correct the erroneous (example below).

ADDITION!
Basically, grammar checking is enabled / disabled in many browsers in a similar way. For example, 👉 in Firefox, just right-click on the text you are typing (note: on the window in which you type it), and then check the box next to "Spellchecking" .
Next, the browser will automatically highlight with a red line those words where, according to its dictionary, mistakes were made. By the way, Firefox also "teach", you can right-click on the underlined word and add it to the exception dictionary so that such a word no longer shines with an error ...

If there is not a single office suite on the computer, then the browser, together with one (or several) services presented below, can give quite acceptable results of checking and searching for errors.But I repeat, still the maximum quality can be achieved in MS Word (in my opinion ✌).
