Google Play Market does not work [solution]

Good afternoon!

There is no doubt that one of the most important and safe sources of applications, games, updates on Android devices is the Google Play Market (where all hosted applications are thoroughly tested 👌).

But, unfortunately, when it stops working, the smartphone (tablet) remains like "no hands" ...

In general, in some cases, when Google Play is not working (especially when a "white" screen appears at the loading stage), an error (error code) is reported, by which you can try to solve the problem.

However, in some cases: there is neither an error, nor any messages (in fact, it is on the solution of this option that I will mainly focus on in this article).

And so, now closer to the topic ... ✌

👉 By the way!

There are analogs of the Google Play Market on the network! They can be used if the Play Market does not work

What to do if Google Play Market does not work

👉 Try restarting your device (Tip # 1!)

Perhaps this is one of the most common advice that is given for most problems, both with smartphones (tablets) and ordinary PCs.

And I will not be an exception here (it is estimated that ~ 20-30% of problems with Google Play can be solved just by simply rebooting the smartphone).

*

Note: to reboot your phone / tablet - just hold down the power button for 2-5 seconds, until the system menu appears (see the example in the screenshot below).

👉 Check the Internet, try connecting to a higher speed network

Also, often the problem with Google Play is directly related to the quality of your Internet connection. If you have a low-speed mobile Internet (which also periodically "falls off") - it is possible that from time to time Google Play will be unavailable.

Recommend try to connect your phone / tablet to a Wi-Fi network and double-check the Play Market. Also, it will not be superfluous to test and find out the real speed of the Internet (for this. There are special services).

👉 Remove cache, Google Play updates

To speed up its work, Play Market saves some of the data in the device's memory (note: they call it a cache). It grows over time, and this can lead to some errors (especially after updating the Market).

Therefore, a logical advice: delete cache, updates, clear phone / tablet memory. 👌

To do this, go to the Android settings and open the section "Applications" ... After find and open the application Google play market ... See screenshot below (👇).

Applications - settings - Play Market

Next, clear the memory, delete the cache and updates (see arrows 1, 2 on the screenshot below 👇).

Delete cache, clear memory

After that, it is recommended to restart Android (if you don't know how - see tip # 1).

👉 Check if "Boot Manager" (alternative name "Boot Manager") is enabled

The fact is that this manager allows you to download files, including those for the Play Market. If, for some reason, it is turned off, there may be problems with downloading files and updates ...

To check if it is enabled, go to Android settings, open the section "Applications" ... Next, find and open "Boot Manager" (in some devices it is called somewhat differently "Download Manager").

Apps - Download Manager (Android)

By the way!

In newer versions of Android (10.0, for example), some of the system applications may be hidden. Before searching, click on the "three dots" in the corner of the screen and enable their display (this is also relevant for the recommendations below).

Show / hide system apps

If a "Download manager" you have disabled - enable it! (see the screen below 👇). I also recommend clearing its cache.

👉 Check the date and time

On the one hand, the time and date is "nonsense". On the other hand, because of them, some options in the phone may not work ...

The fact is that when the device is running on Android, it synchronizes with some Google services. AND if your time is wrong - then when exchanging data with services, an error will occur, and your device may be denied access.

Pay also attention to the date format, some are confused (😢). By the way, you can also recommend setting the time and time zone manually (in some cases it helps).

👉 Clear the "Google Services Framework" cache. Make sure this software is turned on

Another system process that affects the Play Market is the Google Services Framework (it can also be found among the list of all applications). After opening its properties, clear the cache and memory. Then restart the device and check the Play Market.

👉 Check if Google account is enabled. Try to stop and re-enable

Similar to the previous point: open the list of all applications, and go to the properties of "Google Accounts" (see example below 👇).

Next, enable this application ("Google Accounts"), if it is disabled. Also, it will not be superfluous to reset the cache.

👉 IP-addresses of the Play Market are not available to you ...

Due to the recent events (the ban of Telegram in Russia) and the subsequent massive blocking of thousands of IP addresses, many users had problems not only with the Play Market, but also with dozens of other applications.

It is possible that your Internet provider has blocked the IP addresses you need, and because of this you cannot connect to the service ...

In this case, it is recommended that you try using a VPN. For example, a very convenient application for Android - Turbo VPN  (Note: if your market does not work at all, then you can download it in services analogous to the Play Market).

Using the app Turbo VPN very simple: after launching it, just click on the "Carrots" icon (to connect to the network), after which all your open applications (used by the Internet) will work through a proxy server ( approx. : the application is ideal for novice users, making it as easy as possible to work with proxy servers).

👉 Use analogues

I think that many will not be surprised if I say that the Google Play Market has a lot of analogues (similar services). They also have thousands of different applications, games, all of them are also tested and meet high security requirements.

In general, when the Play Market does not work, then in some cases you have to download an application from anywhere, which you really need. So it is better to do it with large proven services. Is not it? ✌

👉 Reset phone settings (Hard Reset)

Well, the last radical way is to try to reset the Android settings (i.e. bring the device to the factory state).

I want to note that this operation will delete all applications, games, documents, files, settings, etc. Therefore, first save everything that you need and may later come in handy.

And so, to reset, open "Settings" , section "Restore and reset" ... See screenshot below (👇).

Android Settings

Next select the option "Reset" and confirm your intention. In general, it's so simple and fast ...

Recovery and reset

I will add that due to various reasons, such a reset method is not always possible (for example, the device may freeze or prevent opening the settings). In this case, I recommend that you read the article, the link to which is given below.

That's all for now ...
